Parallels Desktop 13 Release: Support macOS High Sierra and Win10 Fall Creators Updates
Parallels Desktop 13 for Mac is officially released on this Tuesday, and the 13th version of this Windows virtual software comes with many new features, including support for macOS High Sierra and Windows 10 Fall Creators Update.
This upgrade also includes support for Touch Bar, which enables compatible MacBook Pro users to use Touch Bar function of Microsoft Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint, as well as other Windows start menu and desktop integrations, including Cortana, Task View and Task Bar fixed elements. Touch Bar Wizard also allows users to customize their Touch Bar and add in their favorite Windows applications.
New dynamic resolution support means that users can change the window size of their Windows session, while the speed of start and restart get faster and smoother. At the same time, enhanced support for the Retina screen or the ability to see Windows applications on a Mac screen has a better stretch effect.
New picture in picture model is designed to enable users to easily monitor the virtual machine, and to support the upcoming Windows 10 People Bar at the same time, this feature allows the users to check recent contacts in the Windows taskbar or Mac Dock.
Specifically, compared with the previous version, Parallels says the new version is equipped with about 47% faster access speed to the Windows files and documents, and will have faster file transfer speed through USB 3.0 and Thunderbolt SSD devices, and each virtual machine using Parallels Desktop for Mac Pro Edition can have up to 32 vCPU and 128 gb vRAM, and codes of all new versions for macOS High Sierra (10.13) and Windows 10 Fall Creators Update optimization are provided as well.
Parallels Desktop 13 for Mac costs $79.99, and current users can upgrade to the latest version at a cost of $49.99.
